The AP9640 is APC's current-generation UPS Network Management Card (NMC3) — a SmartSlot-installable accessory card that turns any compatible Smart-UPS into a network-managed device. Web-based interface, IPv6 ready, with the full APC management interface protocol set: HTTPS, SSH, SCP, RADIUS, EAPoL, BACnet, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, Syslog, Telnet, Modbus, HTTP, and FTP.
What the NMC3 Enables
Out of the box, the AP9640 provides remote UPS status visibility, event notification, scheduled testing, and graceful shutdown coordination through PowerChute Network Shutdown. Integration with EcoStruxure IT and third-party NMS platforms (forwarding SNMP traps or polling via the APC PowerNet MIB) places the UPS in the same monitoring view as the rest of your IT infrastructure.
